The paper came as a result of a “round table” discussion that was organized under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Alliance of Private Work and in the presence of a number of experts and representatives of civil organizations, the governmental and private sector and international organizations concerned with the issue of fines in Egypt, which is the parties concerned with drying the sources of the fine in light of the first goal of the sustainable development goals ”eliminating poverty
55 experts and representatives of the international and government agencies, civil society and the media participated in the meeting. The discussion took place between the participants on three axes: -
• The first axis: the issue of overwhelming and the reasons for it
• The second axis: policies to confront the issue of fine in Egypt
• The third axis: institutional and legislative interventions to confront the issue of fine in Egypt.
The paper includes a proposed societal vision and recommendations for the authorities and parties concerned to facilitate the contribution of civil organizations to drying the sources of fine, especially in the most needy areas.
